Grandian de Fontenay 8th Oct 1968 - Mar 1977
Simba was our 1st Male Pyrenean we bought him from the De Fontenay in Dec !968.He was very good at Obedience for a Pyrenean and a joy to own sadly he died shortly after his eighth birthday.
Ch Shirlawn Simba of Shiresoak 8th May 1977 - Dec 1987
Simba was our first Champion by Ch Pyregreen Apollo ex Ch Dordavian Fidelia, all our present stock go back to him. His greatest win was at Bath Championship Show when he won his third C.C. and the Working/Pastoral Group. He won a total of 7 Challenge Certificates 6 with Best of Breed. One of these C.C.s was at Crufts in 1983. He also won Reserve C.C.s at Crufts in 1981 & 1982 a total of 8 reserve Challenge Certificates & one Best Puppy in Show.
He was a popular sire producing
many litters. His winning progeny include
Ch Marquis of Shiresoak, Ch Zalute Zeuky of Penpriory, Ch Zalute Zowena,
& Japanese Ch Shiresoak Silver Shadow. Other notable offspring were Zalute Zanadu who won 2
C.C,s and sadly died before he could win his third & litter siblings Shiresoak
Wizard & Shiresoak Truly Bewitching, she produced Ch Penpriory Crusader
in her only litter, he
was
a Crufts Best of Breed winner.

Sam by Ch Shirlawn Simba of Shiresoak ex Ch Zalute
Zestrina. Sam was a star right from his fist show at 7 months old when he was
Best Puppy and Best of Breed, to his last show age 9 yrs when he won his 38
C.C. and Best of Breed and went to the short list for the group.
He was the breed record holder from 1988-1991 and his record for males has only been bettered by his grandson Ch Startrax Guildsman & Ch Shanlimore Midnight Cowboy. His total wins include 38 Challenge Certificates 35 with Best of Breed Four Working/Pastoral Groups. Best in Show at the Working/Pastoral Breeds of Wales Show 1987. One reserve Group. 13 reserve C.C,s 11 Best in Show wins Junior Warrant winner. He was Top Winning Pyrenean 1984 & 1987.He represented the breed at two Contest of Champions and was a Champion Stakes winner. Sire of 25 + litters.
His progeny include Ch Shiresoak Polly Perkins, Ch Cluny Contraband, Ch Shanlimore Francesca, Ch Lubenn Myfanwy ,American Ch Gillandant Fortesque, also Pyregreen Kaido 1 CC and two res CC's & Mischevious Maestro at Cheralex 1 Res CC (by Marquis ex Pollyanna of Shiresoak) this was a half brother to half sister mating with Simba as the common parent, Maestro produced Ch Cheralex Knight to Remember. Ch Cheralex Maestro,s Lovely Lady & Ch Startrax Guildsman.
Shiresoak Wizard 20th October 1981-1989
Max, by Ch Shirlawn Simba of Shiresoak ex Shiresoak Truly Scrumpious went to live at the Cookala kennels when he was 18 months old, he was mated to Nimoke Misty Blue at Pyrehaven in February 1984 and produced Ch Cookala Contessta she gained her title in 1986 and won 24 C.C,s then in May 1985 a repeat mating produced Ch Cookala Kaye Em Aye 12 CC's& Ch Cookala Kismet 3 CC's this was the start of a string of dogs gaining there titles for Cookala Kennels.

was exported to Japan as a five month old Puppy
by a third party who purchased him from me and exported him without my
knowledge. Luckily his new owner in Japan contacted me and the very charming
owner kindly provided these photographs, he produced at least one litter but
then we lost contact.

Max by Shanlimore Freelancer of Shiresoak a Marquis son ex Pyregreen Modesty Blaize he wasn,t a great showman, he preferred to stay at home but he did win 1 CC & Best of Breed, and produced one litter. He was a calm gently giant who never had a cross word for anyone and we loved him dearly.

Kobie by Pyregreen Galloping Major ex Shanlimore High Society of Shiresoak (a Marquis Daughter) another sweety that hates the Shows he did win a best puppy in breed and several 1st prizes but then we retired him. He loved his squeaky toy and had us in stitches when after carrying it onto the lawn he'd roll on top of it making it squeak.

Alfie. by Ch Shanlimore Midnight Cowboy ex Ch Cookala Harvest Nymph. Alfie has won 12 Challenge Certificates 9 with Best of Breed and 13 reserve CC's to date, his first CC was at Crufts 2000 when he was just 17 months old, he also won Best of Breed that day. 4 best opposite sex puppy wins and 7 Best in Show awards and 5 Reserve B.I.S awards. He won open dog and Res CC at Crufts 2006
He as sired four litters so far, his first litter ex Kalkasi Enchanted Breeze produced Kalkasi Enchanted Willow she was top puppy 2001 she has 1 Challenge Certificate and three Reserves CCs to date.
His second litter ex Ch Gillandant Crystal Shimmer produced Ch Gillandant Classy Chassy winner of 11CC,s& Ch Gillandant Christal Classique who gained her title at Crufts 2004 and Gillandant Mister Majestic at Cheralex who won Junior award at the World Dog Show in Amsterdam 2002. His third litter only one dog & one bitch have been shown from this litter both live in Scotland and have only been shown lightly to date.
His latest litter produced Gillandant Spring Classic who has won many best puppy awards and her first Res CC, and her litter brother exported to Ireland who won res Green Star at just 7 months.
Greek Ch Shiresoak Wizards Legacy 17th Semptember 1998
Boobie is the brother of Ch Shiresoak Wizards Harvest & Ch Shiresoak It's a Kind of Magic JW he was exported to Athens at ten weeks old to live with Annita Nathanlie and at his first show, the Greek International Championship show he won Best puppy in breed he wasn't allowed to be best of breed because he was to young, but he went on to win Best Puppy in Show. I went out to Athens and showed him to his third CC and title and he also won 2nd in the group at the same show only being beaten by Best in Show winner he now has 7 CAC,s with BOB and 4 CACIB,s. He has recently produced his first litter. The breed is still very rare in Greece.

Roly is by Gillandant Kieren ex Ch Shiresoak its a Kind of Magic JW and is the brother of Zabine & Zabianne he was sold at 9 weeks and returned to us at 11 months due to his owner being unable to keep him, he is a tall boy with a beautiful head. He is a very affectionate dog but like most young dogs can be a little excitable. He is a very glamorous all white boy. He has now gone to a lovely home with Pauline &Ted Dixon.
